Michael Gackle - Story
In 2018 I bought a 24mm length of bar thinking about projects, when I was younger I considered buying lots of material to make gears, build my own machines, the works.
You know what happened? Absolutely nothing, all because of the pressure to save money and the costs of being a hobbiest.
2022 almost ended my life with AUL, a form of Leukimia and I almost was in the position of finnally saving money. You know, life has ups and downs, there is never an easy win, and I never caught a break.
Then after recovering I worked towards moving out of home and changing my own life and went to an Auction aquiring a Lathe and some huge bits of metal to do work with. But my creativity around that material was intresting. Because I said to myself there is nothing I can do with it, so what else can I do? Sell it.
And that turning into a spiral that lifted Gackle Resources into Business!
The Plan
We intend to grow this business, and develop a multifacited business opperation to solve problems for the community and ourselves. We've witnessed so many problems from other businesses getting questions about "Can you supply" and the types of material, then that business pretty much saying "We don't stock that" size, type, grade and so forth.
Gackle is for my Grandfarther. Resources is in the capabilities we already have, and the biggest lesson we learned from history "Never underestimate a Gackle" because we impress ourselves sometimes when it comes to the a question, we genreally are unsure. But then we figure it out and it's solved!
Gackle Resources may start with just myself, and maybe I can get advice from my seniors in the family in the various trades.
But Gackle Resources will become so much more, and the future all depends if we really can keep pulling through the miracles we have historically been able to achieve ourselves.
The Lesson I've learned is to take action, keep applying the best of yourself, good, hounest and resiliant to every client, every question, every job!
Because Hounesty is always the best policy, once you start lying, it's hard to erase it from history.
So being a clean business from the get go with the best of intentions and always delivering is the goal.
And maybe we may come accross at somepoint as expensive, but we charge based on what our business costs to run and the costs of reinvestments.
See the following image for our early 2026 in-house project we are invested in building. Each unit is estimated to cost $1,200 to outsource.
